Members Double Their Strength within One Year
We are proud that we can report measurable results—something almost no other fitness club can do. Even if they could, they don’t have the exercise and program design to generate this level of member strength gains.
A detailed analysis of nearly 77,000 workouts performed by more than 700 members shows the average Welcyon member doubles their strength within a year of joining. Members performed 13 strength exercises per workout and averaged two strength training sessions a week. The review was done on data collected from April 2010 to December 2013.
The area with the biggest strength gains was the legs or quadriceps muscles. That’s really important when you consider these muscles help determine walking speed, balance, and stair climbing. Other research shows even a 10% to 20% increase in quadriceps muscle strength in aging adults may postpone dependency on others by one or two decades. The message is pretty clear: Rebuilding muscle can help you rediscover strength and energy to perform simple tasks and enjoy lifelong pleasures.
